AIVOM™
The AI Value Operating Model: Envisago’s practical system for redesigning and continuously improving how your operation works with AI.
AIVOM™ provides a structured way to manage the conditions that determine whether AI works across an operation. It connects Value, Design, Capability and Performance so they can be understood and acted on as one operating loop.
AI changes more than the tools
Introducing AI affects how work flows, where judgement sits, what people need to be able to do, how quality is managed and how performance is understood.
These are connected operating conditions. Managing them separately can produce progress in one area without the conditions needed to sustain it elsewhere.
AIVOM™ provides a common structure for seeing those connections and deciding where attention is needed first.
A checklist shows what exists. A loop shows whether it works together.
AIVOM™ does not treat Value, Design, Capability and Performance as four independent workstreams.
Value gives the operation direction. Design translates that direction into how work operates. Capability enables people to run and sustain the design. Performance provides evidence that informs the next value decision.
The relationship is not simply sequential. A constraint in one dimension changes what is possible in the others. Clear value without the right operating design remains intent. Strong design without distributed capability can be difficult to sustain. Performance information that does not connect back to the value sought cannot close the loop.
AIVOM™ identifies where the loop is reinforcing, where it is constrained and what is most important to address next.
Every dimension influences every other, while Performance feeds evidence back into Value.
The operation is read as a connected whole
AIVOM™ looks beneath the four dimensions to understand the operating conditions within them and the relationships between them. Its underlying architecture contains twenty areas of operation and more than ninety components. That depth supports the analysis, but the result is not a catalogue of everything that could be improved.
An AIVOM™ read establishes:
- How the four dimensions are operating together
- Which dimension is constraining the loop
- Which areas matter most in context
- Whether one apparent problem is a symptom of another
- Where action is most likely to unlock wider progress
The purpose is not to improve everything at once. It is to establish what matters first, in what order and why. The recommendations come from the system, and the system stays.
AIVOM™ Loop State
What is holding the loop back
Operating design, especially operational knowledge readiness. Workflow redesign and governance will deliver limited impact until this foundation is addressed.
One relational insight
Value goals are defined, but nothing yet maps them to the performance data that would confirm whether they are being met.
A reduced read with illustrative data: the sample operation, a fictional mid-market insurer.
The same loop scales to the scope
AIVOM™ can be applied at different levels of an operation, from an individual workflow to a function or wider operational unit.
The operation in view might be a finance function, claims operation, legal service, customer operation, department, distinct business unit or a wider operation containing several of these. It does not need to be the entire organisation. The scope changes; the four-dimensional loop does not.
Where an operation wants the system run alongside its own team, that is the work of our advisory arm.
